Grade 1-7 2027 Applications
Grade 1 -7 2027 admissions are regulated by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE)
The GDE determines the application period for Grade 1-7 2027 admissions. These dates have not been released to schools yet.
Grade 1 2027 applications are made via the online platform for admissions of the GDE (when it opens).
Grade 2 – 7 2027 applications are made directly at schools, when application period opens, subject to availability in the grades required.
Applications for Grade 2 – 7 are not made on the GDE platform & no electronic applications are accepted.
Grade 0 2027 Applications
Application period: 28 January to 26 February 2026.
Grade 0 2027 applications are officially closed.
For children born in 2020, Grade 0 2026 applications will open towards the end of January/early February 2025
Applications are made directly at the school & no electronic applications are accepted.
Necessary admission documentation
A certified copy of the unabridged birth certificate of the applicant
A certified copy of the father’s ID document
A certified copy of the mother’s ID document
A certified copy of the vaccination/clinic card
Original proof of residential address (utility statement)
Proof of parents’ employment/work address/es

Rivonia Primary is a co-educational, English-medium, section 21 fee-paying school (Quintile 5). Fees paid are per child per year and are subject to a 6% to 8% increase.

Tour of the school & office hours
- Tours of the school must be booked in advance with the admissions office, as space is limited. Please call our front office on 011 803 1649 to join our next tour.
- Admission office hours are Monday through Thursday, 08h00 – 12h00. The Admissions office is closed on Fridays.
